About the Diocese of Kannur

The history of the Diocese of Kannur may be traced from the last decade of the 15th century. Established in 1998, the diocese spans across the northern districts of Kerala, serving a vibrant and diverse Catholic community.

Our mission is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, celebrate the sacraments, and foster a community of love, justice, and peace. We strive to be a light to the world through our various educational, health, and social institutions.
